ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER – Colorado


ADAMS Management Services has immediate openings for Associate Project Managers in the following states: Colorado.  A degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering preferred.  This is NOT an IT related job.

1-4 years’ experience in healthcare design, healthcare construction and/or facilities industry preferred.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Associate Project Manager assists Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with the completion of engagement services to clients.

Duties include:

  • Assists with preparation, development, and maintenance of project budgets, schedules, status reports, and other ADAMS work product as directed.
  • Assists with documentation of all meetings as directed in which client representation as required.
  • Works with regulatory agencies to expedite project design approval and permitting processes.
  • Develops and maintains documentation relative to outstanding issues, change orders and requests for information.
  • Conducts regular expense and budget reconciliation in cooperation with the client’s finance department.
  • Assists with the review of project delivery team member’s invoices and applications for payment for compliance with all contracts.
  • Attends programming and design meetings and assists in all budget reduction and refinement efforts.
  • Assists with resolution of field issues (project specific), prepare documentation confirming closure of issue.
  • Leads and documents “Break Out” meetings as required in the planning and execution of the project.
  • Adheres to the ADAMS Standards of Practice in the delivery of all work.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management preferred.

Experience

1-4 years’ experience in healthcare design, construction and/or facilities industry preferred.

Knowledge

Understanding of health care design and construction, building codes and regulations, space programming and allocation, cost analysis and contract negotiation.  Some knowledge of project coordination/management, budgeting and scheduling concepts and procedures is required, as well as the process of project planning, design and construction. 

Special Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, solid interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities, and work group facilitation skills.  Ability to lead teams and resolve conflicts.  Ability to gather needs and translate requests into potential solutions.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project software is preferred.

Must have current driver’s license and be insurable to travel by car. Position requires some travel and may require flexible hours.
